Maxwell Hits 2 home runs in Senators Win | Washington and Los Angeles got after it at Wrigley Field (LA).
The Washington Senators beat the Los Angeles Angels, 8-1, at Wrigley Field (LA). Justin Maxwell, in particular, was impressive. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Washington has a 3-game win streak, while Los Angeles has lost 3 in a row.
The game turned with no one out in the top of the fourth when Maxwell, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 1999 draft, hit a 2-run home run. It propelled the Senators into the lead, 3-1.
"We'll keep our chins up and get ready for the next game," said losing manager Neil F. Lewis. | | | | |
