Foster Now 12-5 After Subduing Dodgers | Milwaukee starter Willie Foster pitched well against the Yokohama Dodgers at Kanagawa Prefecture Park. The left-hander led his team to a win, 1-0. Jim Bruske got the save, his 14th in 18 chances. With the victory, the Bears upped their record to 49-40.
Foster, a native of Calvert, Texas, was dealing all game. He kept Yokohama hitters off-balance, while giving the Bears 8 quality innings. Foster threw 114 pitches, allowing 5 hits and striking out 10.
