| Red Sox Deal Eagles 4-2 Loss | Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Memphis Red Sox and Houston Eagles.
The Memphis Red Sox bested the Houston Eagles by a score of 4-2, with left fielder Terry Puhl getting the main credit. On the day, Puhl went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Red Sox. The triumph puts Memphis at 54-37 for the season.
Memphis needed the clutch hitting of Art Fletcher to notch the win. The shortstop hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Red Sox on top, 4-2. For the game, Fletcher had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Fletcher.
