Senators Turn Back Kansas City, 4-2
Washington starter Mickey Harris had a strong outing against the Kansas City Athletics at RFK Stadium. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 4-2 win. The Senators, at 41-56, sit in last place in the Junior Circuit Fernando.

Washington took a 4-1 lead on Jim Rice's 14th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Rice hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Kansas City pitcher Red Ames visibly frustrated.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Harris said.
