Bears Edge American Giants, 5-4 | Milwaukee picked up a win at County Stadium , toppling the Chicago American Giants, 5-4. Pitcher Willie Foster was one of the reasons the Bears triumphed. Jim Bruske was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 15 of 19 save opportunities. With the win, Milwaukee pushed its record to 53-44.
With Milwaukee leading 4-1 in the bottom of the third, Toby Harrah hit a run-scoring single off Chicago pitcher Eddie Rommel. It put the Bears ahead 5-1.
