Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Bears | The Milwaukee Bears beat the Chicago American Giants, 6-5. Milwaukee pitcher and Springfield, Massachusetts, native Robin Roberts led the way. Milwaukee reliever Dick Radatz picked up the win, upping his record to 2-3. Matt Thornton absorbed the loss. The Bears bumped their record to 54-44 with this win.
In the bottom of the tenth, Todd Zeile had a chance to deal the knockout blow. And he did, punching a run-scoring sacrifice fly to right off Chicago pitcher Matt Thornton.
