| Stars Top Black Barons, 1-0, Behind Ojeda | In a tight game between the Detroit Stars and the Birmingham Black Barons, pitcher Bob Ojeda was terrific on the mound. The Detroit left-hander helped his team to the 1-0 win. With the win, Detroit raised its record to 55-43.
Ojeda's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 5 strikeouts in 8 innings while allowing 3 hits. Ojeda, who is tied for 10th in the NL with a 1.12 WHIP, goes to 9-10 on the year with 105 strikeouts.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Ojeda told the Detroit Chronicle.
