| Angels Turn Back Caribou, 2-1 | The Los Angeles Angels got a magnificent performance from pitcher Hooks Wiltse, who stifled the Caribou offense en route to a 2-1 Angels win at Wrigley Field (LA). Norm Charlton earned his 1st save in 1 chances. The win puts Los Angeles at 42-63.
Carl Reynolds was a prime factor in the win for the Angels. In the bottom of the fifth with two out, the 2004 AL home run champion hit a run-scoring single. He went 1 for 4.
"It feels good to get this one," Reynolds told the Los Angeles Observer.
