The Milwaukee Bears earned a win at Sportsman's Park, stopping the St. Louis Browns, 4-1. Starting pitcher Don Drysdale played a big role in his team's success. Drysdale got the win, improving to 12-10. He allowed 6 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. Drysdale allowed 1 run.

Milwaukee used the bat of Jim Edmonds to capture the win. The center fielder jacked a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Bears ahead, 2-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.

"We're stringing together some nice wins," said Milwaukee manager Tyler Benning.
