| Caribou Lose to American Giants, 4-1 | Chicago American Giants starter Kevin Brown turned in a top-notch performance against the Caribou Caribou at Dead River Aroostookdome. The result was a win for the American Giants, 4-1. Brown got the win, improving to 12-10. He allowed 7 hits and walked 1 over 8 innings. Brown allowed 1 run. Picking up the save was Matt Thornton. He's now 16 for 21 in save chances.
The result might have been different, had it not been for Del Ennis, the Chicago right fielder. Ennis had a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the American Giants ahead, 3-0. For the game, Ennis had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"Kevin did a tremendous job," said Chicago manager Matt Reynolds.
The win elevated the American Giants to 57-56.
