 | Washington Earns SL1 Player of the Week Monday, August 15th, 2005 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Sub League 1, but last week UL Washington of the Manchester City reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Washington rocked opposing pitching for a .464 average (13-for-28), 4 home runs and 7 RBIs to come away with the award. So far this season Washington has hit .296 with 13 home runs, 48 RBIs and scored 71 times. |   |
