 | Hassett Hits in 20 Consecutive Games Wednesday, July 13th, 2005 Chesapeake first baseman Buddy Hassett keeps on racking up hits every time he plays. His hitting streak now stands at 20 games after collecting 3 hits at Isotopes Ballpark today. The Marshals took the 7-1 victory over the Portland Sea Dogs. "I have been seeing the ball really good the last few weeks, but I am a bit surprised how things are working out," Hassett said. "I've gotten a couple flares to drop in, so I've also been a little lucky." Buddy Hassett singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th and singled in the 9th. Hitting .367 to date, Hassett has 6 home runs and 45 RBIs.
