 | De Los Santos Earns AA Top Pitcher Trophy Thursday, September 1st, 2005 Any time a rookie makes a splash on the scene, it's got to be great for his career potential. Just ask Enyel De Los Santos, who put together a stellar month out of the pen. The Chesapeake Marshals reliever, 21, kept the opposition off balance all month as he held them to a .167 average and walked away with the ABBA 2A Pitcher of the Month award for August. De Los Santos posted a 6-1 mark and a 3.24 ERA in 11 relief appearances. In 33.1 innings, he had 1 save, 21 strikeouts, and 11 walks. To this point in the season, De Los Santos has put up these figures: 12-5 record, 34 relief appearances with 97 innings, 1 save, 61 strikeouts, 42 walks and a 2.60 ERA.
