 | Eldred Dominates San Francisco Tuesday, August 17th, 1993 It wasn't easy but Cal Eldred made it look that way. Eldred silenced the San Francisco Seals , 11-0, in a Auckland Tuatara triumph at Sea Turtles Ballpark today. Despite the appearance of dominance, Eldred said later that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up no walks and 3 hits. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else." In season stats Eldred shows a 17-4 record in 27 games, 208.2 innings, 265 strikeouts and a 2.37 ERA. |   |
