Patton Gets Award for Relief Work
Tuesday, October 4th, 2005
Troy Patton said he thinks hitters often underestimate him, as he's only 25 years old.

But he'll certainly be getting a lot more respect now, as the Harrisburg Senators rising star has won the ABBA 2A Reliever of the Year Award for 2005.

He captured the award on the strength of his 1.82 ERA over 109 innings. He also had 21 saves in 56 relief appearances, 113 strikeouts and only 20 walks.

He received 16 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Dave Rajsich of the Chesapeake Marshals finished second in voting, while Red Anderson of the Harrisburg Senators finished third.

Player - Team - First Place - Total Points
