Shannon Stewart took ABBA Double A by storm this year, and he did it all at the age of 21.

For his spectacular campaign, the Harrisburg Senators star has been named the 2005 ABBA 2A Most Valuable Player Award recipient.

"To be considered amongst the best in the league is overwhelming," said the center fielder.

On the season he compiled a .352 batting average to go with a .450 on-base percentage. The native of Cincinnati, Ohio also added 17 doubles, 5 triples, 21 home runs, 79 RBIs and 97 runs scored.

He received 16 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Kevin Jordan of the Harrisburg Senators finished second in voting, while Nate Freiman of the Daytona Tortugas finished third.
