 | Weaver Strokes 5 Hits Monday, July 4th, 2005 It was high-fives all around for Buck Weaver at Chukars Ballpark today. He got them from his teammates and he got them at the plate during an outstanding hitting performance against the Hollywood Playboy Bunnies. Weaver smashed 5 hits in 6 at-bats on his monster day, leading his club to a 17-3 win. "Buck was hitting everything," said Seawolves manager . "It really was a special game for him." In the opposing dugout, Playboy Bunnies manager told BNN beat writers that Weaver "ambushed" the club. "Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but we'll have another chance," he said. "Hopefully, Weaver oversleeps next time." Buck Weaver singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Justin Wilson in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Fred Frink in the 8th. So far this season Weaver is hitting .315 with 20 home runs. |   |
