| Green Pitches Giants to Shutout Victory Friday, July 8th, 2005 Tyler Green hurled a fine game for the Naperville Giants at Ballpark of Indian Shores today, holding the Indian Shores Jazz to 3 hits in a shutout win.
"When he started out, his command wasn't that good, but he's a tough guy," Naperville manager said. "The more pitches he throws, the better his command is."
The right-hander had 5 strikeouts and 1 walk in the 6-0 victory.
"An outstanding job," Indian Shores manager said. "We couldn't get anything going. Every time we got a hit, he got out of the jam. He pitched a terrific game."
In 25 starts this season, Green has recorded 13 wins and absorbed 8 losses. He has pitched 139.2 innings, allowed 120 hits, struck out 116 and has a 3.42 ERA. | | |
