 | Thomas Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits Saturday, July 16th, 2005 5 times is the charm -- at least for Fred H Thomas. The Erie Seawolves third baseman tore up the Maine Guides to the tune of 5 hits in 6 at-bats at The Ballpark today. The offensive onslaught from Thomas powered the Seawolves to a 11-2 win. "Thomas was a tough out today," Maine manager said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure." Fred H Thomas doubled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 8th and singled in the 9th. A look at his season totals shows Thomas with 9 home runs, .237 BA, .361 OBP, 23 RBIs and 32 runs scored. |   |
