 | Lewis and Gabler Suspended for Free-for-All Saturday, August 13th, 2005 Darren Lewis of Manchester and Frank Gabler of Manchester were the main participants in a recent bench-clearing brawl and today the league handed out its punishment. Lewis will have to miss 4 games for his part in the brawl, while Gabler was given 9 games. League officials announced their suspensions today. So far this year in 109 games Lewis is hitting .224 with 6 home runs, 25 RBIs and 61 runs scored. In 31 starts this season Gabler has crafted a 6-13 record with a 4.51 ERA. |   |
