 | Dreadful Season Sees Playoff Hopes Dashed for Maine Monday, August 15th, 2005 In the middle of a disastrous season, it would be understandable if Maine Guides fans had already started to turn their attention to next year. Doubly so as of today, as the Guides have now been officially eliminated from playoff contention. This is the club's 6th playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 1999. In the last 10 seasons, the Guides have missed the playoffs 7 times. In total, the Guides have missed the playoffs 35 times in their 44-year history. |   |
