 | Pruiett at His Best, Blanks Naperville Thursday, September 1st, 2005 Tex Pruiett shut out the Naperville Giants 3-0 on a 3-hit masterpiece for the Sydney Blue Sox at Silverbacks Ballpark today. "He was kind of teasing them with his off-speed stuff, and his fastball was moving everywhere," Sydney skipper said afterward. Pruiett registered 5 strikeouts and issued 1 walk in pitching a gem. "We just didn't swing the bats very well. Or else he just pitched good, whichever way you want to look at it," said Naperville manager after the defeat. Thus far this season, Pruiett has tossed 237 innings in 29 starts, fanned 200 batters, walked 72 and put up a 2.54 ERA with 17 wins and 7 losses. |   |
