| Indian Shores Won't Make Playoffs Wednesday, September 7th, 2005 It wasn't meant to be for the Indian Shores Jazz this year. Despite a tough battle, they were eliminated from playoff contention today.
"It is a bad feeling," said Jazz reliever Jeff Calhoun. "Once you get into the playoffs, anything can happen. But you've gotta get in there first, and we weren't able to do that."
The Jazz have missed the playoffs 19 times in their 24 years as a ABBA Triple A franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 2nd in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2002. In the last 10 seasons, the Jazz have missed the playoffs 8 times. Indian Shores last won the World Series in 1996. | | |
