 | Pitcher of the Year Award Presented to Augusta Star Saturday, October 15th, 2005 Ray Sadecki of the Augusta Green Jackets was in command and couldn't do much wrong when he was on the mound this season. His outstanding 24-15 won-lost mark and 3.46 ERA were big factors in his winning the 2005 Sub League 1 Pitcher of the Year Award. In 330.1 innings of work and 62 starts, Sadecki struck out 374 while giving up 243 hits and 98 walks. He held opposing batters to a .204 average. He received 16 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Nels Potter of the Maine Guides finished second in voting, while Craven Morehead of the Manchester City finished third.
