 | SL2 Pitcher of the Year Award Announced Saturday, October 15th, 2005 Les Cain of the Sydney Blue Sox is in the spotlight today. He was voted the top pitcher in the Sub League 2 and will be presented the 2005 Pitcher of the Year Award. He started 32 times and compiled a 19-3 record with an ERA of 2.34 in 234.1 innings with 246 strikeouts. He received 10 first place votes out of a possible 16. Tex Pruiett of the Sydney Blue Sox finished second in voting with 6 first place votes, while Pete Broberg of the Sydney Blue Sox finished third.
