 | Hassett Hitless, Streak Ends at 22 Saturday, July 16th, 2005 Chesapeake defeated Portland 2-1 today at Isotopes Ballpark, but saw the 22-game hitting streak of Marshals first baseman Buddy Hassett snapped -- the Sea Dogs held Hassett hitless in 4 at-bats. "I enjoyed the streak," he said in a BNN interview after the game. "It's great in one way, but the day-to-day pressure to keep it going can be tough to handle, too. The main thing is we got the win today. That's all that really counts." For the season Hassett is hitting .365, batted in 47 runs with 6 home runs and 59 runs scored. |   |
