| Red-Hot Freiman Scorches Mad Dogs Thursday, July 28th, 2005 5 hits in a game is a rare thing, but Daytona's Nate Freiman made it happen today against the Mad Dogs. Everything came together at the plate for the 30-year-old first baseman as he collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats -- and led the Tortugas to a 15-2 win at Field of the Mad Dogs.
"I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Freiman said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em."
Nate Freiman hit a GRAND SLAM off Don Buschhorn in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th and hit a two-run home run off Rick Greene in the 6th.
This year Freiman has 14 home runs and a .303 batting average. | | |
