 | Playoffs? No Chance for Down East Saturday, August 13th, 2005 The Down East Wood Ducks playoff hopes were already minuscule at best, but even those faint hopes have been dashed. The team was mathematically eliminated from the playoffs today. The Wood Ducks have missed the playoffs 41 times in their 43 years as a ABBA Double A franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 18th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 1986. |   |
