 | Portland's Riley AA #1 Batter in August Thursday, September 1st, 2005 For a rookie just breaking in, Austin Riley certainly put together a successful month. It was good enough to win the AA Batter of the Month award for August. The 34-year-old third baseman for the Portland Sea Dogs hit .304 with 15 home runs, 34 RBIs and 24 runs scored. This year Riley is hitting .293 with 80 hits, 27 home runs, 78 RBIs and has scored 48 runs. |   |
