 | Scheib Named AA Pitcher of the Year Award Winner Thursday, October 6th, 2005 This year's winner of the coveted ABBA 2A Pitcher of the Year Award is Carl Scheib of the Auckland Tuatara. During the 2005 campaign, Scheib excelled with a 26-2 won-lost mark in 32 starts. In 221.1 innings he yielded 131 hits and 40 walks, while striking out 227 and compiling an impressive 1.26 ERA. He received 16 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Elmer Riddle of the Auckland Tuatara finished second in voting, while Tom Earley of the Auckland Tuatara finished third.
