| Caribou Takes October Madness | There was no room for error for the Caribou Caribou and the Boston Americans in the October Madness. Win and move on, lose and go home.
"We kept telling the guys in the clubhouse that there was no tomorrow," said Caribou left fielder Frank Howard, shortly after his team eliminated the Americans by a 4-3 score to advance to the League Championship Series. "This type of single-elimination game is great for the fans, and thankfully, more so for our fans this time around."
Howard went 4-for-4 in the game to lead his team to victory and was named the MVP.
The Caribou Caribou will play against the New York Black Yankees in the next round. New York had a bye in the October Madness. The League Championship Series is scheduled to begin on October 7th, 1966. | | |  | |
