Boston Blanks Los Angeles Behind Kennedy Wednesday, September 14th, 2005 Brickyard Kennedy of the Boston Americans shut out the Los Angeles Angels 6-0 at Wrigley Field (LA) today, holding them to 2 hits with 4 walks and 3 strikeouts.
Pressed for comments on his club's defeat, Los Angeles skipper Neil F. Lewis called the outing from Kennedy "a jewel."
"The way Kennedy was pitching, it would have been tough for anyone to beat him," he said.
