It's Willie Foster, this year's Senior Circuit Robert Moses Grove Award selection. This blossoming hurler wowed fans, peers and sportswriters with a fabulous performance.
Foster compiled a 23-9 record in 41 starts, tallied 230 strikeouts in 317 innings and recorded a 1.48 ERA. Other clubs managed only a .216 batting average against him.
Ralph Branca of the Memphis Red Sox finished second in voting, while Al Hollingsworth of the Detroit Stars finished third. | | |
