| Herndon Goes Deep Twice in 8-5 Stars Win | Detroit and Milwaukee duked it out and the Stars came out victorious.
Detroit left fielder Larry Herndon played a vital role in his team's 8-5 triumph over Milwaukee. He hit 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice for Detroit. Bob Ojeda picked up the win with 6 innings of work. He allowed 1 run on 4 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 3. On the season, he is now 1-1.
Herndon had a consequential at-bat in the bottom of the third for the Stars. Coming up with runners on 1st and 3rd and Detroit trailing 1-0, he hit a 3-run home run.
"It was a solid team effort," said Herndon after the game.
To call the performance of the 2005 Bears disappointing is an understatement.
